Supported formats on Windows

The Wallboard Windows client displays content in an embedded browser. A file's extension alone does not determine whether its video and audio codecs will play on the target device.

Files

Start with the formats accepted by the Files menu. Test finished content on the Windows player, especially when the file uses an unusual codec or encoding. Upload support and playback support are separate checks.

Streams

For the Stream widget on Windows, use HTTP video or HTTP audio. The UDP/RTSP source type is not supported by the Windows client. See the Stream widget guide for its source settings.

If an HTTP stream requires basic authentication, configure WebView Basic Authentication for the stream's URL.
