Move your Schedules to the new Schedules
The Legacy UI Scheduler is being retired. The new UI replaces it with Schedules — but they work differently, so this is a rebuild rather than a copy. This guide explains the new model, then walks you through recreating a legacy Scheduler with new Schedules.
Legacy Schedule creation is retired during September–October 2026, and Legacy Schedule editing during November–December 2026. After that, the Legacy Scheduler can no longer be created or edited, and the Legacy UI is removed completely at the end of 2026. Rebuild the schedules you still use before those dates.
How the model changed
This is the most important part to understand before you start.
- Legacy Scheduler: one Scheduler is a calendar that holds many contents (and loops) across different days and times, plus a single default content that plays whenever nothing else is scheduled.
- New Schedules: each Schedule holds one content — a Content, Slide, or Playlist — with its own time window, target devices, and a priority. A device plays its base assigned content by default, and any active Schedule with a higher priority temporarily overrides it.
In other words, one legacy Scheduler becomes one base content plus several separate Schedules — one for each timed item on the old calendar.

A new Schedule can play a Content, Slide, or Playlist — not a legacy loop. If your Scheduler used loops, move them to Playlists first: Move your Loops to Playlists.
Rebuild it as new Schedules
Step 1 — Set a base content on each screen
The legacy default content becomes the screen's base assigned content — what plays when no Schedule is active. Assign it directly to the device.
- From the Devices menu, open the device's settings (the gear button) or its three-dot (⋮) menu and choose Assign content, then select the content, slide, or playlist.
Schedules do not run on a device that has no assigned content. Always assign a base content (a fallback) so the screen never goes blank between scheduled items.

Step 2 — Create a Schedule for each timed content
For every item that appeared at a specific time on the legacy calendar, create one Schedule:
- Select the Schedules tab (sidebar or Quick access bar) and click the + button.
- In What to play, add the one Content, Slide, or Playlist for this time slot.
- In When to play, set the days and times it should appear.
- In Where to play, select the same screens the legacy Scheduler played on.

Step 3 — Recreate recurring blocks (Repeatables)
Legacy Repeatables recurred on selected days within a period. Recreate each one as a Schedule whose When to play rule repeats on those days and times, instead of a one-off window.

Step 4 — Set priorities for overlaps
On the legacy calendar, a content placed on a slot overwrote whatever was underneath. In the new UI, overlaps are resolved by priority:
- Open a Schedule's settings (the gear button, top-right) and set its priority. A higher number wins.
- If two active Schedules share the same priority, the one created first is applied.
Give your most specific or most important items the higher priority so they take over at the right time, and let lower-priority Schedules — and the base content — fill the rest.
Step 5 — Publish and activate
In the Schedule's Publish settings you can name it, add a comment, and set its status to active or inactive. Make sure each Schedule you migrated is set to active.
If several Schedules share most of their settings, build one carefully, then use the Duplicate action in the Schedules list and adjust only what differs — the time window, target devices, or priority.
Good to know
- One content per Schedule. You cannot put several contents in a single Schedule. If you need multiple items playing together, use Channels; for a sequence of playlists or slides, use a Playlist.
- Schedules are not compatible with ePaper devices — ePaper screens are filtered out of the Where to play selection automatically.
Result
Your screens now play their base content by default, with each old calendar item recreated as its own Schedule that takes over at the right time and priority. You manage each one individually in the new UI.
