Clone Existing Devices

  • Navigate yourself to Devices menu
  • Click on the button next to the Devices header
  • Select the Clone device option.

Clone device

In the Clone device modal, you can configure the following properties:

  • Temporary id / Serial: To register a device you have 2 different methods:

    • To register with Temporary id, enter the 4-digit code from the screen.
    • To register via serial, you have to enter the 8+ digit serial number of the device.
Registration via serial number cannot work with android devices.

  • Existing devices: Here you can select the device you wish to clone.

  • Name: You can name your cloned device. The default naming is <existing device name>-migrated

  • Destination folder: Automatically selects the folder in which the existing device is in.

  • Service ID: If the source device has a Service ID set, it is copied into this field automatically. You can keep, edit, or clear the value before saving.
A Service ID can only be assigned to one device at a time. To save the clone with the same Service ID as the source, enable Remove existing device after clone — removing the source frees the Service ID so it can be reused on the new device.

  • Remove existing device after clone: Removes the original device after cloning. Required if you want to keep the source device's Service ID on the clone.
