Content on device is not updated
You have a device with a content assigned to it. You change something in the content but the device is still playing the old version of it.
Possible causes
Here you can find some clue what can cause the issue
Mismatched content
You may have the wrong content assigned or you edited a copy of the correct content.
This is common when a user has many contents with similar names.
How to resolve
- Make sure that you have the right content assigned to your device, try to assign it manually again.
- Refresh the content by right-clicking on the device and selecting the Refresh content option.
Poor internet connection, device lost connection with the server
This issue can also appear when the device doesn't have an internet connection and it can't reach the server.
If you have a slow internet connection it can take some time to download the new version of the content to the device.
How to resolve
- Check the internet connection on your device.
- Clear the cache of the device by right-clicking on the device and selecting the Clear cache option, reboot the device, and assign the content again.
Newly added assets are still downloading
When you add new images or videos to a Playlist, the device downloads the new files before it can play them. This is also the case for a Playlist that plays through a Channel. Until the download finishes, the device keeps playing the previous version of the playlist.
How to resolve
- Wait for the download to finish. The device picks up the new assets on its own, so a manual content refresh or a device restart is not needed.
- If it takes long, check the internet connection on your device and the size of the files you added.
