UI version: 2.1.1923
Legacy UI version: 2.1.664
System version: 2.1.624
Improvements:
- Devices assigned in a large batch now pick up their settings within seconds, instead of the last ones taking minutes.
Bug fixes:
- Fixed an issue where a screen that came back online still showed its offline menu in the Devices list, with restart, refresh content, clear cache and rapid preview missing until the page was reloaded.
- Fixed an issue where Move to folder opened on the folder you were browsing instead of the folder the selected item is actually in.
- Fixed an issue where the Cleanup invalid pages dialog in the playlist editor showed no page names, so you could not tell which pages it was about to remove.
- Fixed an issue where a table that fit on a single page never triggered When widget finishes, so the content never moved on to the next page.
- Fixed an issue where widgets inside embedded content played their animations at the wrong speed.
- Fixed an issue where paginated table fades could cut short or flicker when a slide played inside a playlist.
- Fixed an issue where a paginated table could stay blank for a full page interval when a content page came around again.
- Fixed an issue where a slide embedding other slides with data-bound videos could freeze playback, both in the editor preview and on screens.
- Fixed an issue where a video that failed to load dropped the slide duration to zero instead of keeping the duration you set.
- Fixed an issue where saving a slide in the content editor wiped the Quick Edit field layouts set up for it.
- Fixed an issue where saving a SharePoint News, LinkedIn, Amadeus, Facebook, Instagram, Notion or Active Directory datasource without filling in its settings failed with an error.
- Fixed an issue where saving a change to a Web Scraper datasource could clear its scraper settings, and where a Custom Integration datasource could fail to save.
- Fixed an issue where a Google Sheets datasource pointing at an empty sheet or range treated every refresh as a failure and eventually stopped updating.
- Fixed an issue where a channel created with the wrong type of quick filter would not play and could not be edited or deleted.
- Fixed an issue where the list of content a file is used in could be incomplete, or could include content the user has no access to.
September 9, 2026
UI version: 2.1.1914
Improvements:
- Improved text editing in the Quick Editor, with a bigger editing window, more formatting controls and background colours for table cells.
- The playlist editor now has separate buttons for leaving the editor and for going back to the parent playlist.
- The Embedded usage tab now has an edit button that opens the playlist the content is used in.
- Improved navigation for Recent folders in Contents, Files and Devices, making the view easier to leave, and added a Recent folders button to the file manager.
- Improved device settings synchronization, so a saved setting stays on screen instead of briefly reverting and showing a sync warning.
- When the server does not know a device lock state, the Lock setting now shows the state reported by the device itself and an Adjust button to set it.
- The Working hours tab of the add device modal now explains that the values come from the device profile.
Bug fixes:
- Fixed an issue where opening a slide from a standalone playlist could fail.
- Fixed an issue where the AI JSONata query generator only appeared on a newly created datasource after a page refresh.
- Fixed an issue where some thumbnails did not appear in the Analyzer.
- Fixed an issue where the default user interface profile on an SSO connection was cleared when the settings were saved.
September 8, 2026
UI version: 2.1.1881
Legacy UI version: 2.1.650
System version: 2.1.597
New features:
- Added SCIM 2.0 identity provisioning, so users and teams can be created, updated and deactivated automatically from an identity provider such as Entra ID, Okta or OneLogin, without waiting for the user to log in first. Users managed this way are marked as such in the users table.
- Added a Notion datasource, so a Notion database can be queried and shown on screens.
- Added View As, a mode selector in the bottom left corner of the management interface. Network Owners and Admins can now view the interface in Admin mode, which reveals every menu the customer's UI profile hides, as one or more Teams, or as a specific user. Each mode is marked with its own colour so the active view is always clear.
- Added an AI filter generator to the filter sidebar, so a filter can be described in plain English and applied to the Devices, Contents and Files lists.
- Added AI filter generation to Proof of Play. The assistant now builds and applies the filter for a request such as "only the Summer Sale campaign on the lobby screens last month", and the generated filter stays visible and editable in the normal filter interface.
- Added Doesn't contain, Doesn't equal and Starts with options to the filter editor, alongside the existing Contains and Matches exactly, so a list can be filtered by what it should leave out.
- Added customization to the Quick Access strip on the Home, Analytics and Settings pages. Shortcuts can now be reordered and hidden on all three, and on Home you can also add your own for a menu, a URL or an action, or copy a whole layout from another user in the same customer. Quick Access is personal to each user, so setting up your own does not change what anyone else sees.
- Added customization to the Home cards. Cards can now be moved and hidden, and a new Notes card lets you write something down for yourself or share it with your team. The arrangement and the notes apply to the whole customer, so every user sees them, limited to the cards their role and UI profile give them access to.
- Added Recent folders to Devices, Contents and Files, so the folders you last worked in are one click away instead of a walk down the tree.
- Added pinning to Devices, Contents and Files. A folder, file, content or screen can be pinned so that it always sits at the top of the list, which keeps whatever you work with most within reach. Pins are personal to each user.
- Added folder memory to the Devices, Contents and Files menus. Leaving a menu and coming back to it later reopens the folder you were last in instead of the root, so switching between menus no longer means navigating the whole path again.
- The Move to folder tree now opens expanded at the folder the item currently sits in, so moving something into a nearby sub-folder is much quicker when you are several levels deep.
- Added tagging for device folders. A folder now carries its own tags, the screens inside it can inherit them, and a screen's tag list shows whether a tag was set on the screen or inherited from its folder.
- Extended Branding kits with logos, company name, company URL and a style description, and added a branding picker to the content designer so a whole kit can be applied to a content's bound widgets.
- Added HTML file support. HTML files can be uploaded to the file manager as their own file type, filtered for in the file lists, and rendered by the Custom widget.
- Added a manual cleanup button to the playlist editor that removes expired and deleted files from the playlist, with a confirmation showing how many items will be affected.
- Added renameable playlist pages, so several copies of the same slide can be told apart by name instead of only by their thumbnail. The original name can be restored at any time.
- Added a file type selector to the file manager list and the file picker.
- Added a folder tree view to the Contents and Devices selectors.
- Added image cropping to the Quick Editor. An image widget's picture can be zoomed, panned, rotated and flipped inside its own box without uploading or re-encoding the file, and the screen reproduces that framing.
- Added the YouTube video source to the Quick Edit system, so a YouTube widget's video can be replaced by pasting a link or a video ID without opening the content editor.
- Expanded the playlist transition catalogue with around forty new effects, including zoom, flip, page flip, bounce, blur, glitch, Smart flash, Strobe and a set of grid and mosaic reveals. The new effects play when performance mode is on and neither slide contains an embedded website or an external video player, and fall back to the existing instant swap otherwise.
- Added two content Screen fit options. Responsive recalculates the page and every widget to the exact available width and height, which lets custom apps lay themselves out at the screen's native resolution. Contain scales the whole page up or down while preserving its aspect ratio and centring it.
- Added a zoom button size slider to the PDF widget, so the on-screen zoom controls can be scaled up for large screens and touch displays.
- Added an option to centre PDF pages horizontally when the document is not wide enough to scroll.
- Added voice dictation to the mobile datasource editor, so a shared datasource row can be filled by speaking instead of typing. The language selector in the header also sets the dictation language.
- Added a post limit option to the three Meta feed datasource types.
Improvements:
- Playlist changes now reach playing screens without restarting playback. Adding, removing and reordering pages, and adding or changing a file's validity period, are applied in place.
- The device uptime report now uses the working hours that were actually in effect on each day, so changing a device's working hours no longer rewrites past reports.
- Reduced the background requests idle screens send to the server, which lowers the constant load a large fleet puts on a server. Periodic channel update checks are now spread out instead of all firing at the same moment.
- Improved stability on multi-server installations by coordinating locks and cache invalidation across nodes, so device status, licenses, content, folders, tags and datasource refreshes stay consistent everywhere.
- Dashboard tables now show a dedicated error state when their data cannot be loaded, including the error code and a Reset table config action for the rare case where a saved table setting is what breaks the request.
- Contents now always open in the embedded content designer, and the per-user Experiments setting that chose between the embedded and the standalone editor has been removed.
- Added a "Keep media files" option to the Clear cache device action. It clears only the player's own application files and leaves the already downloaded videos, images, audio and PDFs on the device, so a broken or outdated player can be fixed without making it download all of its media again. The option is only available on platforms and application versions that support it.
- Refined the instructions and datasource context behind the AI JSONata mapper, so generated mappers are more accurate.
- Log lists no longer include DEBUG entries by default.
- The team global settings shown when the first team is created are now a step by step flow, and each option explains what it means for users who are not in any team.
- Uploaded fonts are now shown by their file name in a branding kit instead of their file id.
- Moved WebSocket handling into its own service.
Bug fixes:
- Fixed an issue on BrightSign, Samsung and LG devices where anything served from the device cache was misread, so weather widgets reverted to English, SVG images were not inlined, custom fonts could be missing offline, and devices stopped picking up new displayer versions.
- Fixed an issue where the device selector failed to open on a schedule with many directly assigned screens.
- Fixed an issue where the scheduling editor discarded a field change when it was saved with Ctrl+S or Cmd+S while the cursor was still in that field, and where a playlist with past excluded dates was marked invalid.
- Fixed an issue where removing a tag and adding a new one in the same step did not update the tags shown on a playlist asset until the playlist was saved and the page reloaded.
- Fixed an issue where the default user interface profile chosen in the Single Sign-On settings was not saved, and where a removed custom domain was still shown from the cache.
- Fixed an issue where deleting a folder in the file manager left it behind in every playlist that used it, and where files removed by the daily validity cleanup were not removed from playlists either.
- Fixed an issue where a PDF placed directly in a playlist was never downloaded to the screen, so it showed as a blank zone for the full slide duration on any screen that had not already cached that file through a PDF widget. A PDF that fails to load is also no longer remembered as failed for the rest of the session, so playback recovers once the file is there.
- Fixed an issue where an image gallery's animation did not play after a playlist transition brought its slide into view.
- Fixed an issue where a duplicated slide kept the original's preview image after the copy was edited and saved.
- Fixed an issue where background stream audio stayed silent after the stream was interrupted, until the content was saved again or the screen was restarted.
- Fixed an issue where an external WebView was placed behind other widgets and rendered smaller than the size set in the editor.
- Fixed an issue where the Quick Edit field layouts saved on a slide were dropped when the content was saved in the designer.
- Fixed an issue where a Table widget set to change page when it finishes never advanced if the table had only one page.
- Fixed an issue where chunked uploads that failed part way left files behind in storage and inflated the customer's storage usage.
- Fixed an issue where the YouTube widget still showed captions after the caption option was turned off, which doubled them up on videos that already have captions burned in.
- Fixed an issue where a CAP datasource stopped refreshing altogether, and kept failing on every poll, whenever the feed published an alert without an identifier. Such an alert is now skipped instead of aborting the whole refresh.
- Fixed an issue where SharePoint site search did not find sites whose name contains digits or punctuation.
- Fixed an issue where a two factor code was rejected right around the moment it rolled over to the next one.
- Fixed several interface issues on smaller screens where content was cut off at the top with nothing to scroll.
- Fixed a round of smaller interface issues, including an overflowing UI profile name, the playlist editor's saving overlay, the cron modal resizing and the collapsed side menu badge.

Legacy UI version: 2.1.496
Bug fixes:
- Fixed an issue where new assets added to a Playlist that is played through a Channel did not enter playback until the content was refreshed or the device was restarted.
- Fixed an issue in Performance Mode and Channel playback where adding the same Slide to a Playlist more than once made all copies share one set of Quick Edit values, so editing one also changed the others.
August 24, 2026
UI version: 2.1.1294
Bug fixes:
- Fixed an issue where sorting the Licenses table by the Assigned / Total column caused the license list to stop loading, and it remained empty on later visits because the selected sorting was retained. This column is no longer sortable.

Improvements:
- The PDF widget now shows a loading spinner while switching to a different document or running a search, instead of appearing frozen.
Bug fixes:
- Fixed an issue where screens running content with multiple layers of embedded content showed lengthy black screens while large content updates downloaded in the background; playback now continues until the new content is ready.
- Fixed an issue where uploading certain large or high-resolution videos produced a grey or blank thumbnail instead of a preview image.
- Fixed an issue where devices playing looping content with weather or scrolling-text widgets gradually consumed more and more memory, eventually causing slowdowns or crashes.
- Fixed an issue where data-driven media slideshows could randomly go blank and then reappear; the display now keeps showing the last known content when a data refresh fails.
- Fixed several issues with embedded and nested content where playlists inside content could freeze on the first item, skip the last item, or show a blank preloaded slide, and where devices did not recover on their own after a failed content update.
- Fixed an issue where embedded content could unnecessarily rebuild and flicker when its parent content was saved without any changes.
- Fixed a slow memory leak that could eventually cause long-running devices to run out of memory and restart.

- Fixed an issue where changing team permissions on files or folders could fail with an error on accounts that have many teams.
