Reboot devices automatically
What does Automatic reboot do?
With this feature you can set a time for your device to reboot itself daily
We always recommend setting Working hours or Automatic reboot to preserve overall device health. Rebooting helps clear the device's memory, potentially improving its performance over time.
Where can I set automatic reboot for devices
1.x UI
You can access this feature by right-clicking on the screen and selecting Set automatic reboot under Manage screen
> Device properties
> Set automatic reboot
- Then you can set the time that you want your screen to reboot each day.
2.0 UI
Navigate yourself to Devices
menu, select the device
where you wish to set reboot time
- In the details tab, select settings, scroll down until you find the
Reboot time
modal. - Switch on the
Set auto reboot time
then enter the desired time for reboot
The automatic reboot function does not reboot your device at the exact time that you set it to. It will generate a random time difference in a 30 minute interval and send that to the device.
It works this way, because if all the devices would reboot at the same time the load would slow down or overload our server or your network.
Also if the current time + the generated random time different is within 1 hour, then the reboot will occur the next day at the specified time.
