Supported formats on BrightSign
BrightSign media support depends on the player model and the way an asset is displayed. Check your model in the Wallboard guides for Series 3 and 4 or Series 5 before preparing media.
Images
BrightSign lists BMP, JPEG, and PNG in its Series 5 feature matrix. Supported image resolution varies by model. If your image uses another format accepted by Wallboard's Files menu, test it on the target player before deployment.
Use RGB rather than CMYK JPEGs: BrightSign documents CMYK JPEGs as unsupported. Check the target model's image resolution limit before publishing large images.
Video and audio
For a video, match the player's model with the container, codec, resolution, frame rate, and bitrate in BrightSign's Video Formats & Codecs guide. For audio files and audio tracks in videos, use its Audio Formats guide.
A file that the Files menu accepts may still exceed a particular BrightSign model's playback limits. Test the finished content on the target model.
