Device Policies menu

Utilizing Device Policies will streamline your device management by ensuring consistent configurations, enabling mass deployment, saving time, and providing flexibility for future adjustments.

  • Navigate to the Device Policies menu.
  • Click on the sign next to the Device Profiles header.

Basic Settings

In basic settings please fill out the required fields

  • Name
  • License type
unlicensed

You can select unlicensed type, so the devices that are registered with unlicensed license type will not use active licenses, they will function as a placeholder device.

  • Time zone

Content (optional)

If you have a content which will play on the newly registered device, assign it to the device policy you will use.

Advanced Settings

In advanced settings you can set advanced settings to the devices such as:

  • Which folder should contain the device
  • Rotation
  • Device tags
  • Volume
  • Brightness
  • Emergency content

Location

  • Weather location (optional to set the place where the device will play)

Datasource

  • Datasource (If the content requires)
  • Console settings

Working hours and daily reboot

It is optional but recommended to set working hours or daily reboot to your devices to preserve overall device health.

IF YOU OUT OF THE SELECTED LICENSE, YOU CANNOT USE THE DEVICE POLICY!

This does not apply to Unlicensed license type.
