Status Indicator Dots on Screen
As of October 25, 2024, we have introduced an updated visual indicator system that replaces the previous “Oops” message with a more intuitive dot-based status display on the screen.
- This change is part of our ongoing effort to improve transparency and troubleshooting capabilities for device and content status.
Here’s what these status indicator dots mean:
Three red dots
This indicates a server-side issue.
- The device is unable to reach the server or retrieve the necessary resources.
One white dot and two red dots
This suggests a loading issue — typically due to a temporary content retrieval delay.
- The system will automatically attempt to reload after 5 minutes.
Two white dots and one red dot
This points to an application-level issue, such as a rendering error or configuration conflict.
- The player will automatically reload after 2 minutes.
- These indicators are designed to help you more easily identify the nature of a problem and anticipate how the system will respond.
Please note that these indicator dots cannot be turned off by disabling the State Indicator setting on the device.
They will remain visible on-screen until the underlying issue is resolved. To prevent screen burn-in or damage, the dots will pulse periodically.
