Simple Channel with a single only-play items
In this tutorial we will create a Simple channel where the loop or content's only-play disturbs the play.

With these settings the channel allows to play 24/7, but it can be changed if the item inside has its own only-play settings.
Cases
1. Channel contains only a loop with 1 slide where the slide has only-play enabled.
Loop slide-1 only-play:

Explanation:
- Here the loop has only 1 slide, that can play only 3AM to 5PM, and it ends the same day as its started.
- In this case the channel will be active in the following interval:
2. Channel contains a content with 2 pages (1 default page + 1 page with only-play)
Content Default page cannot hold only-play values.
Content page-1 only-play:

- Here the Content's default page can play 24/7 because there is no only play in it

Explanation:

The
default pages of A and B contentsare disabled in channel setting, they will not play inside the channel. -
A-page-1can play every day from 8AM to 2PM periodically. -
A-page-2can play until the selected end date and time. Even though the Content page can be active until 9PM it will stop playing because it expires at 8PM. -
B-page-1can play has an excluded time range ( 6AM - 10PM ) in its only-play settings, that means the page cannot display in this interval. It will play every day from 10PM to 6AM. -
When at least two different items are active simultaneously, they will play according to the channel's general settings.
