On-demand display mode and balancing type

In this article we will explain the difference between Automatic and On-demand mode.

Automatic vs On-demand mode

  • You can change if the widget plays the items in the channel playlist automatically if the On-demand display switch is turned OFF (default).

  • If you switch ON the On-demand display you can interact with the widget via actions, and navigate the playlist with another widget based on Balancing type.

If you wish to use the On-demand display mode, please turn on the Interactive switch, otherwise the widget will not react to touch.
  • Balancing type can be: Play time or Played items. Played items is a set number from the channel item playlist, and Play time is a set duration of time which is allocated to items.

Please note

Play time based amount tries to balance out the plays of each channel element over time, which could appear as random. It always tries to fill out the available time section with an element.
