Channel order
Channel order refers to the sequence in which channels are played within a playback slot.
- Channels with lower Order number will play first, followed by higher numbers
- This order is crucial as it determines the priority of content display on your digital signage.
- By setting the channel order, you can control which channels are shown first and how often they are cycled through during playback.
If you have multiple channels and you want certain content to be displayed before others, you can add those channels lower number in the order, and higher to the others .
- The system will then prioritize these channels during the playback process.
Where to modify channel order?
You can set channel order on a channels and sub-channels in the How to play
settings in the What to play
section.
- Click on the cog icon, then in the general settings you can manually enter the desired channel order value.
Example
An example of channel order could be as follows:
Suppose you have three channels:
- Channel A
- Channel B
- Channel C.
You decide to set the channel order as follows:
- Channel A
- Channel B
- Channel C
In this setup, Channel A will be prioritized and played first in the playback slot. After Channel A has completed its cycle, the system will move on to Channel B, followed by Channel C.
If you want to ensure that a promotional content is displayed more frequently, you might add that Channel the lowest order number.
This way, viewers will see the promotional messages before any other content, maximizing their visibility.
